My youngest is now 9 and we're looking at having another go with the update that's about to release and I can see there will definitely be a bit more violence with the rats and bears but as a team I think we can look after one another just fine. The cartoons for kids are way worse than this game ever was. I could clearly see the shark attack he fought the same way he plays the hippo/frog smasher at the arcade. My youngest son was 8 years old when I bought this for my family, we all played and had a lot of fun. I bet most 8 years old have seen/done waaaaaaaaay worse than that. poking a shark with a spear and/or hitting it with arrows (i am grasping at straws here).
